The three new designs of end mill, each with two cutting edges, are problem solvers with maximum strength and security and extend the depth of cut for the CoroMill 316 range to 0.8 x Dc.

Sandvik Coromant and Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR), the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team co-owned by Tony Stewart and Haas Automation founder Gene Haas, have renewed their partnership for a second year. The agreement maintains Sandvik Coromant as an official team sponsor of SHR, while SHR is supplied with metal cutting solutions for its Haas CNC machines.

A combined Xtreme Productivity Seminar and Open House took place this March 24, 2011, at the Thomas Skinner Vancouver branch. The latest introduction from Sandvik Coromant for hard part turning of case hardened steels (55-65HRc) is grade CB7035. This cubic boron nitride grade provides improved security in toughness demanding operations such as heavy interruptions and has excellent wear resistance to handle long contact times.
