SME has announced that the RAPID conference and exhibition will come to Canada as a dynamic additive manufacturing / 3D printing pavilion that will be featured from September 23-24 at The International Centre as part of Advanced Manufacturing Expo (AMExpo), which launched in 2000.

On Tuesday, October 1st, MP&P hosted a luncheon and awards presentation ceremony at CMTS 2013 to honour this year's MP&P Top 20 Under 40 awards recipients. Of the 20 honourees, 14 were able to attend the awards ceremony. Representatives of the award sponsors - title sponsor Sandvik Coromant, Mazak Canada, Mitutoyo Canada and SME - were also on hand to congratulate the winners.
Canadian manufacturers are expecting business activity to increase in 2013 despite some uncertainty in the economy, reports a recent survey by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), producer of the Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS) 2013, to be held at The International Centre, September 30 to October 3.
