On October 16 and 17, Mitutoyo Canada hosted an open house to celebrate its 40th anniversary, and the re-opening of its fully renovated head office. On the afternoon of the 16th, Mississauga Mayor Hazel McCallion and Ward 9 Councillor Pat Satio were on hand for a special reception and ribbon cutting to congratulate the company on its success. McCallion wished the company much success and hoped for further growth in the city.

On Tuesday, October 1st, MP&P hosted a luncheon and awards presentation ceremony at CMTS 2013 to honour this year's MP&P Top 20 Under 40 awards recipients. Of the 20 honourees, 14 were able to attend the awards ceremony. Representatives of the award sponsors - title sponsor Sandvik Coromant, Mazak Canada, Mitutoyo Canada and SME - were also on hand to congratulate the winners.

Mitutoyo Canada has announced the appointment of John Dewar as sales manager effective April 2013. A graduate of McMaster University, John has 25 years of experience in sales of precision measuring equipment to the manufacturing industry, and for the last 15 years, has fulfilled the role as Sales and Application Specialist for Mitutoyo Canada covering the Southern Ontario region, working extensively with end users and Mitutoyo product distributors.
