Elgin, IL – During the week of May 2, 2012, Switzerland-based Bystronic officially celebrated the Grand Opening of the new headquarters of Bystronic Inc., their North American subsidiary, in Elgin, Illinois. Approximately 550 people attended the multi-day event which began with the official ribbon cutting ceremony on May 2nd and concluded with a friends-and-family day on May 5th.

Bystronic Inc. has officially broken ground for their new multi-million dollar North American headquarters based in Elgin, Illinois. The ground breaking ceremony on Friday, January 21st, was attended by local Elgin town officials, local press as well as industry press. Bystronic will move it’s North American headquarters from Hauppauge, NY to Elgin, IL to provide a more central location in serving the North American market.

Elgin, IL – Swiss company Bystronic, the supplier of complete solutions for the processing of sheet metal, marks its 25th anniversary this year. In light of this, the company celebrated the milestone over a three week period in September, at its world headquarters in Niederönz, Switzerland. Approximately 1,000 guests from nearly 50 countries participated in this special celebration, which comprised a total of eleven individual events.

Bystronic presents the BySprint Fiber 3015, a fiber laser cutting machine based on the BySprint Pro platform. This machine marks the company's first production series model of a laser cutting system that employs fiber-laser technology. Equipped with a 2 kW Fiber 2000 fiber laser, the machine is suitable for cutting steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and non-ferrous metals, such as copper and brass.

Bystronic has incorporated a power saving mode into all machines equipped with the ByLaser 6000 and ByLaser 4400BCL series resonators. The new Power Saving Mode reduces the electrical power consumption of the complete laser cutting system by 50 to 70 percent during standby or non-cutting times.

Bystronic introduces the latest release of the Bysoft 6 software, Version 6.8, available for all users of Bystronic lasers, waterjets, and press brakes.
