Fluor and Supreme Group form modular fabrication partnership in Canada

IRVING, Texas - Fluor Corporation recently announced that it is combining its modular design expertise with the fabrication and construction capabilities of Supreme Group, a Canadian based-company that specializes in fabrication and module assembly across Canada, to form Supreme Modular Fabrication Inc. The 50/50 partnership will own, operate and deliver a full range of unique module assembly and fabrication services to the Canadian market place from its 50-plus-acre module yard near Edmonton, Alberta.

Canadian manufacturers optimistic about business growth in 2013, reveals SME Survey

Mazak Canada adds CNC programming courses to 2013 Training Schedule

Mazak Canada recently updated its 2013 training schedule to include SMART and MATRIX programming classes that focus on CNC basics and techniques for boosting productivity in both milling and turning applications. Starting in July and running monthly until the end of the year, these free classes will take place at the Mazak Canada Technology Centre in Cambridge, Ontario and Machine Toolworks, Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta.

Government of Canada seeks bids for Canadian Coast Guard light helicopter fleet renewal procurement

Gatineau, Quebec – The Honourable Rona Ambrose, Minister of Public Works and Government Services and Minister for Status of Women, announced on April 7th that Public Works and Government Services Canada, on behalf of the Canadian Coast Guard, issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the procurement of light helicopters, under the Coast Guard helicopter fleet renewal procurement.
