 Mazak Optonics has appointed Al Bohlen to the newly established position of National Sales Manager. Bohlen brings to the position over 25 years experience in customer service and support, applications engineering, product management and sales. His extensive professional career has been exclusively within the fabrication industry, including the laser cutting machine sector. Bohlen has been a laser cutting industry thought leader as author of numerous technical articles and as a presenter at laser symposiums worldwide. 
TRUMPF has made some personnel changes. Jim Rogowski has taken on the position of Director, Machine and Power Tools and is located in Farmington, Connecticut.  Sodick, Inc., a manufacturer of EDM technology and high speed mills has launched a new website at www.sodick.com. The new website incorporates a fresh look and has upgraded features and information. Bystronic presents the BySprint Fiber 3015, a fiber laser cutting machine based on the BySprint Pro platform. This machine marks the company's first production series model of a laser cutting system that employs fiber-laser technology. Equipped with a 2 kW Fiber 2000 fiber laser, the machine is suitable for cutting steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and non-ferrous metals, such as copper and brass. |
