Welding robots enhance productivity PDF Print E-mail

Motoman has introduced two new six-axis SSA2000 and SSF2000 super speed welding robots that can reduce welding cycle time 15%, greatly enhancing productivity.
Cycle time is faster because the motion speed of the robot axes is increased up to 40%. Cutting-edge motor control technology and new advanced robot motion (ARM) control help make the SSA2000 and SSF2000 models impressively fast arc welding robots. Other enhancements, such as minimized arc on/off time and up to 30% less air-cut time, also reduce cycle time. The SSA2000 has a 3 kg (6.6-lb) payload, 1,390 mm (54.7”) reach, and  plus or minus 0.08 mm (plus or minus 0.003 in.) repeatability. The SSA2000 is ideal for multiple robot applications with robots working in close proximity or for applications that require access to parts in tight spots, or those with potential interference from fixtures.
