Robot features integrated dressing PDF Print E-mail
The IRB 1600ID robot from ABB features integrated dressing so all cables and hoses are routed inside the upper arm-making the robot suitable for arc welding.
The IRB1600ID features a dress pack that carries alll necessary media for arc welding, including power, welding wire, shielding gas and pressurized air, and offers a variety of new advantages. For example, the integrated dressing helps eliminate the programming blind spot found on conventional robots with external routing of the dress pack. In addition, integrated dressing decreases the robot’s external dimensions, extending the robot’s real working range-a crucial factor when welding on fixtures with complex geometry-and eliminaes the risk of damaging the dress pack in a collision. The IRB 1600ID offers a 1.5 m reach and 4 kg handling capacity.
