Machining center designed for graphite work PDF Print E-mail
While the VM1 graphite machining center from Hurco has been designed for graphite work, it is also ideal for machining plastics and light metals.
The VM1 graphite has travels of 26 in. x 14 in. x 18 in. The high-speed spindle (up to 30,000 rpm) uses 30 taper tooling with the swing arm ATC and is cooled with a refrigerated liquid to provide long life and thermal stability. Hurco’s easy-to-use UltiMax control provides expanded memory and network software to facilitate large CAM generated programs, which are common in graphite electrode work. Contouring rates up to 600 IPM can also be achieved using the UltiMax control.
