Machine easily handles long workpieces PDF Print E-mail
For the complete five-axis milling of complex, large-shaft workpieces plus drilling, turning, and high-precision boring on one machine in a single setup, Mazak has introduced the Integrex e-650H S II.
An “e-machine,” the Integrex e-650H S II combines the Integrex’s CNC machining center/CNC turning center integration with the latest in information technology via Mazak’s e-Tower. The e-Tower brings state-of-the-art communications tools, including a CCD camera, machine monitoring, and remote notification capabilities to the Integrex’s “Done in One” multi-tasking productivity. For long workpieces, drilling up to 800 mm can be performed on the Integrex e-650 H S II with a long boring bar. For further processing flexibility, an angled rotary tool can be mounted at the end of the long bar to enable small-diameter drilling or milling from the inside diameter of the bore or angled drilling or milling from the outside diameter. High-speed processing of the large amounts of data that high-precision simultaneous five-axis machining requires is readily accomplished by the new Mazatrol Matrix CNC.
