Turret Punch Presses
Laser punch cell features new enhancements PDF Print E-mail
Finn-Power has introduced a new generation of LP6 Series laser punch flexible manufacturing cells. The LP6 offers a maximum sheet size of 60 in. x 120 in. or 60 in. x 169 in. for the LP8 unit. With 33 U.S. ton hydraulic ram force, flexible 20-station turret, up to four clamps, programmable clamp setting for virtually 100% material utilization and digital punch control, the LP6 provides enhanced performance. The cell’s axis system features a new construction which allows higher acceleration and positioning. The unit offers positioning speed in X/Y of 5,905 in./min. In addition, the index systems has been redesigned with separate motors for both gears, and offers greater accuracy and speed up to 166 rpm.

Sheetmetal notching cell highly flexible PDF Print E-mail
Powered by regular shop air, a Multicyl Workcell produces up to 100 tons of force for a variety of metalworking operations.  Multiple Multicyl stations may be ganged together to make small punching machines such as the adjustable sheet metal notching machine pictured above. This small machine footprint compared to the traditional larger punch press permits a modular workcell approach allowing several operations to be combined in one area. Adjusting the set up for different part sizes is easy; pre-machined templates and location pins are all that is required. Additional advantages over traditional presses are that Multicyl provides a simple and safe operating environment.

Punch, laser machine combines speed, flexibility PDF Print E-mail
The EML K3510NT punch laser combination machine from Amada combines the high punching speed and forming flexibility of the electric motor turret punch press with the unlimited shape cutting capabilities of a laser. This results in a machine tat requires minimum setups and offers extremely quick turnarounds, making it ideal for the high production of short-run sheet metal parts, particularly those that incorporate forming or have many holes. The machine’s X-axis (3,937 ipm) and Y-axis (3,149 ipm) simultaneous axis speeds (5,041 ipm) offer extremely high positioning speeds.
