Module offers enhanced metrology capabilities |

 Wilcox Associates, Inc., a Hexagon Metrology company, has introduced the new NC module of PC-DMIS 4.1. The new module brings sophisticated metrology capabilities to dramatically expand the capabilities of the traditional machine tool inspection probe, allowing for true onboard inspection with machine tools without the need to transfer a part to a separate inspection station. PC-DMIS NC communicates directly with machine tool controls, in their own language, but offers substantially more capability than the built-in macros, including sophisticated offline programming capability direct from CAD, three-dimensional inspection routines onboard the machine tool, plus analysis tools, SPC and graphical reporting.
