 Motoman’s new MH1500-450 TR positioner is comprised of two standard headstock modules combined to provide highly flexible, AC servo-controlled tilt/rotate part positioning using two rotational axes of motion.
Positioner motion can be coordinated with the robot motion to keep weld
joints oriented in an ideal posture for welding and to allow
circumferential welds to be performed in a single pass. Designed to
accommodate small- to medium-sized parts, the MH1500-450 TR positioner
features a 450 kg (992.25 lb) payload rated at a 75mm (2.95 in.)
overhang. Tilt axis speed is 10.6 rpm and rotate axis speed is 9.8 rpm.
The positioner also features integrated weld grounds and safety
switches.
