Head/probe system maximizes CMM throughput |

 The REVO from Renishaw (Canada) is a dynamic new measuring head and probe system designed to maximise CMM throughput while maintaining high system accuracy.
Unlike conventional scanning methods, which rely on speeding up the motion of the CMM’s three axes in order to scan quickly, REVO uses synchronised motion, and Renscan5 five-axis scanning technology, to minimise the dynamic errors of CMM motion at ultra high scanning speeds. Up to 500 mm/s is possible without accuracy penalties. The REVO measuring head features ultra stiff spherical air bearing technology in each of its two axes, which provides a stiff metrology platform.
