 The Space Gear 48 triple-mode laser cutting system from Mazak Nissho Iwai is a high-speed 2D production laser that also performs 3D cutting of pre-formed parts, plus 2D and 3D cutting of pipe and structural.
In 2D mode, Mazak"s pivot-beam machine design allows precise high-speed cutting of sheetmetal and plate up to one in. thick (4,000w). In 3D mode, the Space Gear can bevel-cut flat material and cut pre-formed parts-stamped, hydroformed and spun. In 3D-rotary mode, the Space Gear can end-cut complex contours with weld-prep bevels, plus cut any size or shape hole, all in one operation.
