 Seco has expanded its MDT (Multi-Directional Turning) system with a variety of new products including threading inserts, precision grooving inserts and new cast iron grades. Like all MDT products, the new inserts can be used with an existing MDT toolholder.
Available in CP500 grade, the new MDT threading inserts feature partial profiles of 60∞ for UN and ISO threads, and 55∞ whitworth threads, covering a wide range of thread pitches to reduce inventory. The expanded line of MDT grooving inserts also includes the new CP500 grade for a wide range of material applicability. Also, new for MDT is grade TK150 for all cast irons.
