Turning grade optimizes roughing, finishing PDF Print E-mail
Sandvik Coromant recently introduced GC4225, the newest addition to its series of ISO P turning grades.
The new GC4225 is an ISO class P25 grade that is designed to optimize both roughing and finishing, and will enhance machining performance in the steel turning area, making it broader, more productive and more reliable. The GC4225 is Sandvik’s next generation  insert for universal steel turning. The new insert’s geometry and combination of features enhance reliability and productivity through better surface finishes, higher feed rates and cutting speeds, and improved plastic deformation and crater wear resistance.
