 The ValGROOVE BTG-RG full radius, twin cutting edge grooving insert from Valenite provide the capability to perform multiple operations including profiling, turning and facing in addition to precision grooves and undercuts.
The VTG-RG inserts are available in three grades including a
multi-layer PVD TiAlN/TiN coated VP5820 grade for applications
requiring low to medium feed rates, a CVD TiCN/Al203/TiN coated VP5735
grade ideal for medium to high feed rates and interrupted cuts, and an
uncoated VPUK20 for general duty machining. VTG-RG inserts are offered
in inch sizes from 5/64 in. through 5/16 in. and metric sizes from 2mm
through 8mm. These types of tools with capability to complete multiple
machining requirements make many secondary processes unnecessary and
reduce the number of required tool changes and machine setups.
