 HELIDO from Iscar is a new family of tools for 90° milling. The new HELIDO H490 ANKX 170608PNTR rectangular insert has four helical right-hand cutting edges and is very thick and strong.
The insert is clamped into an inclined dovetail pocket which provides a very rigid clamping. The insert has a wiper which leaves an excellent surface finish. The standard corner radius is 0.8 mm. Due to its strong construction and a unique chip deflector with positive cutting angles and excellent grade combinations, the new family features high durability, low cutting forces and excellent tool life. The insert can be used for machining steel, stainless steel and cast iron at very high machining parameters.
