New grade designed for steel turning |

 The steel machining VP5535 grade from Valenite is a recent addition to its ValTURN turning system.
These new tools feature cutting edge toughness, provided by a cobalt
enriched surface layer-backed by a high strength fine grain substrate
core that resists plastic deformation-to deliver enhanced productivity
performance at high speeds in heavy duty P30 to P40 range of rough
turning applications of steel and stainless steels. The new grade
features an MTCVD coating of TiCN/Al3O2/TiN for wear resistance,
thermal protection and stabilty, along with a polished edge to minimize
cutting edge build-up. These tools perform equally well for continuous
or interrupted cuts, and in wet or dry applications, and offer
outstanding security with consistent and reliable.
