 The MC milling chuck from T.M. Smith offers heavy-duty gripping torque, smooth operation and a maximum contact area. The MC milling chuck has an inherent balanced design that is guaranteed with ATP3 taper tolerances.
The chuck has a thick wall design and utilizes a roller cage clamping concept with four rows of staggered needle bearings that produce a clamping torque of 5290Nm. With this design, tools or other components are evenly clamped the entire length of the long roller cage providing rigid holding capability. In addition, there are radial and axial grooves in the cage that ensure fine accuracy and maximum gripping torque.
