Ultra-high-speed scanning brought to CMMs PDF Print E-mail
Renishaw (Canada) Ltd., Mississauga, ON (renishaw.com) has brought ultra-high-speed scanning to coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).

The system integrates Renscan5, an advanced five-axis machine control algorithm, REVO, an ultra-high-speed infinite-positioning measuring head with a first-ever laser-corrected probe, and a second generation UCC2 universal CMM controller. The Renscan5 enabling technology allows the development of a range of five-axis scanning products that measure at speeds up to 500 mm/sec while virtually eliminating the measurement errors normally associated with existing three-axis scanning systems.
