 The Vturn-IV200 from Fortune is a pick and place vertical chucker with built-in automation. The pick and place DDS spindle by the traveling headstock couples turning and part-loading in one machine.
Inverted vertical chuck clamping reduces the possibility of the chip scratching on the surface of the components to cover the drawback of conventional vertical lathe. The Vturn-IV200 is more cost effective than a horizontal lathe with a gantry robot because no special holding devices, gantry robot and cell controllers are required and less space floor is also needed.
