Suzuki discontinues production of XL7 at CAMI PDF Print E-mail
Suzuki Motor Corp. has announced that it will discontinue production of its XL7 sport utility vehicle at the CAMI plant in Ingersoll, ON which Suzuki jointly operates with General Motors of Canada Ltd. Production of the XL7 SUV was temporarily stopped late last year due to poor sales. In a letter to suppliers, Suzuki says that it hoped the economy would improve and increase the sales of the SUV but that didn’t take place.

With the XL7 being discontinued, media reports indicate that, at the moment, Suzuki is not producing any vehicles at the CAMI plant. Meanwhile, GM started production of its new Chevrolet Equinox at CAMI last month and will launch production of its new GMC Terrain vehicle there in August.
