Haas open house demonstrates range of technology PDF Print E-mail
A recent Technical Demonstration Day held at Haas Factory Outlet’s facility in Toronto attracted over 100 attendees. The event featured an extensive array of technology and various demonstrations of different Haas machines under power. For example, one machine in the spotlight at the event was the Super VF-3  vertical machining center. The Super VF-3 offers a number of features including inline direct spindle drive, high speed tool changer, 12,000 rpm spindle, and through spindle coolant.

Another machine that attracted the attention of visitors was the VF 5 vertical machining center which features extended travels. The VF sereis of machines are highly versatile and cover a wide application range. The VF 5 on display offered 30 hp and featured a 10,000 rpm spindle.

The Haas Technical Demonstration Day also featured a number of  ancillary suppliers including Seco Tools, Sandvik Coromant, Commonwealth Oil, GibbsCAM, Iscar, Jergens, In-House Solutions, and many more. These suppliers exhibited a wide range of products including cutting tools, software, and fixturing.

For example, one such display was the PRESTO MR20 robot from Nachi Robotic Systems which features a unique seven-axis, space-saving design. The demonstration of the PRESTO MR20 highlighted the flexibility and expanded range of motion for multi-level part presentation offered by the robot.
