Laser system meets new requirements PDF Print E-mail
TRUMPF has introduced the TruPulse laser in response to the increasing requirements users have placed on the laser’s capabilities. The TruPulse laser series features several technical innovations. The burst function allows the average power to be briefly exceeded and increases the pulse frequency thereby reducing the welding cycle. Quasi-continuous seam welds are possible with longer pulses of up to 50 milliseconds. The finely tuned product range is based on a modular power supply structure. The new TruPulse solid-state laser’s average power ranges from 20 to 150 watts at a maximum pulse power of up to 10 kilowatts. Within this range, beam qualities of 4 to 25 mm mrad are possible.
