 Okuma has recently introduced the 44H horizontal machining center which is designed for the machining of medium size parts.
The 44H horizontal machining center delivers rugged construction in a
compact footprint. Precision and repeatability are ensured by Okuma’s
traditional box ways. Axis travels are 410mm, 460mm, and 470mm in the
X, Y and Z axes, respectively. Standard spindle speed is 12,000 rpm
with an optional 20,000 rpm. Tool change time is an exceptionally rapid
1.0 second tool-to-tool and 3.0 seconds cut-to-cut. The 44H is
available with an optional pallet changer for standalone or cell use,
and is equipped with the FANUC 18iM control.
