 The DHP 5000 horizontal machining center from Daewoo combines 12,000 rpm spindle speed (14,000 rpm optional), 1.5 second tool-to-tool changes, 1,890 ipm rapid traverses, and a two-pallet rotary shuttle system with a quick 7.8 second pallet change time.
For power, the DHP 5000’s 40 hp motor generates 151 ft. lbs. of low-end torque to take deep cuts in tough metals. The machine’s 40 taper spindle is a true cartridge type unit that is supported by four precision class, permanently lubricated bearings. A 60 station ATC uses a fixed address, shortest path tool-change method.
