 The TapX CNC tool grinding machine from ANCA efficiently produces taps (inch or metric), including carbide, from a blank to a finished product in a single setup, performing all grinding operations including threading.
This eliminates the need for several special purpose machines typically
used to produce taps. Highly efficient for small batch runs, TapX
offers quick changeover and can be provided with a 220-tool capacity
pallet loader or a robotic loader with 800 tool capacity. The machine
uses ANCA’s iTap software for tap design and manufacture. Equally
effective for basic taps, complex tool geometries, and specialized
taps, iTap includes an easy-to-follow user interface that guides the
user through the tap design process.
