 Valenite has expanded the scope of applications for its ValTURN turning system with the introduction of four new chipbreaker geometries.
The new geometries include a positive/negative form for general-purpose turning, round inserts for heavy duty roughing and interrupted cuts, and two wiper geometries for high-speed finishing as well as high-feed operations. The inserts are designed to provide excellent chip breaking and evacuation capabilities. The positive/negative and rough chipbreaker styles are offered in coated grades while the two wiper geometries are available in three grades. These inserts are ideal for turning applications involving steels, stainless steels, and abrasive cast iron materials.
