New grades offer improved tool life |

 Seco Tools Canada has announced the availability of its first range of Duratomic grades developed for milling applications.
Seco is positioning the three new products-MK1500, MK3000, and
MP2500-as its first choice grades for a range of milling applications
in cast irons, steel, and stainless steels. Applications will include
many of Seco’s milling product families. Seco recommends MK1500 for
easy to moderately difficult machining in grey and nodular cast irons,
particularly at medium to high cutting speeds. MK3000 has the toughness
and wear resistance necessary to face mill cast iron at medium to high
cutting speeds, in operations ranging from easy to difficult. MP2500
meets the requirements for milling both steel and stainless steels.
