Inserts ideal for hardened steel |

 ISCAR has introduced CBN (IB55) multi-cornered inserts, for use mainly on hardened steel.
The new inserts feature the same application range and performance as
the single-edged inserts. However, due to being multi-cornered, they
are more economical per corner. IB55 is recommended for semi-finishing
and finishing of hardened steel, even under interrupted conditions. The
cutting edge of grade IB55 has a T-land of 0.14 x 20° and a honing of
0.01-0.015 mm.
