 The new -MD (medium difficult) insert geometry from Seco Tools Canada is designed for for high feed, high metal removal square shoulder milling applications.
Designed for Seco’s Super and Power Turbo, the -MD geometry offers
users as much as twice the metal removal of industry standard
square-shoulder endmills.The rigid design of the Turbo cutter body, and
the relatively high cutting rake of the insert permits for free
cutting, high metal removal. The new geometry is available in a range
of coated grades in 12mm (Super) and 18mm (Power) inserts, including
the high-performance grades F40M and T350M for application in a broad
base of materials.
