 The new GT-20 lathe from Haas is designed to be a versatile, second-operation machine that can handle a broad range of jobs.to meet the requirements of shorter-run, multiple-operation work.
It delivers high power and a high range of speeds in a small footprint production machine. The compact GT-20 takes up only 8 ft. x 4.5 ft. of floor space, yet offers a generous 11 in. x 12 in. maximum capacity, making it the ideal chucker lathe for shops where space is at a premium. The machine provides a maximum part swing of 13 in. over the front apron, with an 9.25 in. swing over the cross slide. The X-axis provides 6 in. of travel with 2,400 lbs. of thrust, and the Z- axis provides 12 in. of travel with 3,700 lb of thrust. Rapids are 710 ipm in both axes.
