DMG / Mori Seiki USA has announced that its annual Innovation Days event will take place at the company’s Headquarters and Chicago Technical Center on May 24-26. Innovation Days 2010 will mark the first joint event of DMG / Mori Seiki USA under the partnership that began April 1, 2010.

The new HSM 400U LP is the latest high-speed milling innovation from GF AgieCharmilles. The HSM 400U LP provides 5-axis simultaneous high-speed machining, achieving speeds up to 250 RPM on the rotational axis and up to 150 RPM on the swivel axis, with a B-axis swivel range of 220 degrees.

Makino announces the new T-series five-axis horizontal machining centers with ADVANTiGE technologies built specifically for titanium aerospace parts such as edge frames, pylons and bulkheads.

Makino announces the new F-Series vertical machining center designed to provide stiffness and rigidity for chatter-free cutting, agility for high-speed/hard-milling and accuracies for tight tolerance blends and matches typical of complex, 3D contoured geometry associated with die/mold and medical production.

Okuma has introduced the new GENOS M460-VE vertical machining center. This new machine adopts a powerful new double column structure to deliver the most machining in the least floor space.
