Siemens to supply wind turbines to Samsung C&T and Pattern Energy for the Ontario market PDF Print E-mail
On August 10th, Siemens, Samsung C&T and Pattern Energy announced an agreement for the supply of up to 600 MW of Siemens wind turbines to serve the Ontario renewables market. Siemens will build Ontario’s first blade factory as part of a plan to meet Samsung and Pattern Energy’s demand. The development of this agreement, under Ontario’s Green Energy Act and the associated Feed-in Tariff (FIT) program, will provide Ontario consumers enough sustainable clean electricity each year to power more than 240,000 homes.
