Walter has introduced the Walter Prototyp Paradur Short Chip HT blind hole tap, designed to increase process reliability and quality when tapping long-chipping high tensile (HT) strength steels.
The TurnLine range of Mini T-CBN inserts from the Tungaloy Corporation has now been extended to incorporate a BX470 insert grade. The interest levels in the Mini T-CBN line that is capable of boring diameters as small as 4.5 mm with indexable inserts have been high since the initial product launch.
Seco recently introduced the company’s new CX1 and CX2 polycrystalline diamond (PCD) drills for composite holemaking. The new diamond-tip technology eliminates issues with uncut fibers or delamination in composite machining, and has allowed the company to successfully develop the industry’s first PCD three-flute geometry (CX1) for composite drilling.
Seco has announced the introduction of X4, a new multi-edged, tangential tool for grooving and parting off of small components. Available in cutting widths from 0.031” – 0.093”, X4’s inserts minimize material consumption in parting off and enable precise grooving and copying of small and medium-sized complex parts. Performance is further enhanced through X4’s tangential insert bodies that ensure high rigidity, stability and productivity.
Designed for deep-hole drilling up to 9xD, the new KUB Centron Powerline drill offers performance and modularity for a variety of applications, including those typically found in the Oil and Gas and Heavy Machinery industries.
Accurate targeting of coolant during machining provides maximum effectiveness in chip evacuation. However, precision and pressure are two equally important aspects of coolant. A high precision coolant requires lower pressure. The higher the pressure, the more demanding applications can be machined with excellent results.
