LATROBE, Pa. - Kennametal Inc. announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement to purchase the Deloro Stellite Group from Duke Street Capital for approximately €277 million. The acquisition, which is expected to close in 60 to 90 days, remains subject to customary regulatory approval and negotiated conditions of closing.
The Board of Directors of Carr Lane Manufacturing Co. has named Alan K. Frost as President, succeeding the late CEO Earl E. Walker. Alan Frost holds a law degree and MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He has extensive experience in process improvement through ISO 9001:2008 and as a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Examiner.
Mark Fulton has joined Komet of Canada as a Technical Specialist working with end-users promoting the Komet product line. One of Mark's objectives will be to develop a new distribution market and coordinate efforts within Ontario.
 Waukesha, WI. — Cutting tool manufacturer Walter USA, LLC appointed Mike Hickey to position of Director of Manufacturing.  In January of this year Komet announced the opening of its new Canadian subsidiary, Komet of Canada Tooling Solutions ULC. Now, it marks another important milestone with its new headquarters in Newmarket, Ont., and the expansion of its staff as Leah Conley joins the company as its Canadian Office Manager, reporting directly to President David Toomey.  Sandvik Coromant and Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR), the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team co-owned by Tony Stewart and Haas Automation founder Gene Haas, have renewed their partnership for a second year. The agreement maintains Sandvik Coromant as an official team sponsor of SHR, while SHR is supplied with metal cutting solutions for its Haas CNC machines. |
